A VMC is a digital certificate that verifies ownership of a brand logo. Gmail requires a VMC to display BIMI logos. VMCs are issued by certificate authorities like DigiCert and Entrust and require a registered trademark. Apple Mail displays BIMI logos without a VMC requirement.
What logo format does BIMI require?
BIMI requires logos in SVG Tiny Portable/Secure (SVG Tiny PS) format. The logo should be square, use a solid background, and be hosted at a publicly accessible HTTPS URL. The SVG file must conform to the SVG Tiny PS profile, which restricts certain SVG features for security.
